Jack and the Beanstalk
Wolverhampton Grand Theatre
11/12/12
A "Grand" night out!
The Grand theatre was alive with panto fever last night as QDOS' Jack and the Beanstalk arrived in town. A most lively, and colourful production brought the magic of pantomime to life for families young and old. Corrie and Benidorm favourite Sherrie Hewson was perfectly evil as panto baddie Lady Joyce Temple Savage and was well supported by Ken Morley as King Crumble and Ben James Ellis as loveable rogue Jack. Xfactor's Nikki Evans delivered stunning vocals as Fairy Fortune and Nigel Ellacott sported some fantastic comedy and costumes as Dame Trot. For me, Keith Harris stole the show with puppet pals Orville and Cuddles, and their mischievous antics had the audience crying with laughter! With a blooming beanstalk, hip-hopping cow and gigantic giant this perfect panto does not disappoint! A family friendly fairy tale not to be missed! Runs til January 20th 2013.
